This short course has been written to the nationally accepted industry standards as set out by the industry skills council. It will meet the requirements of audit and help achieve 100% staff compliance training provided it is used for the correct candidates.
This course is designed for people involved in the manufacture of food and drink (processing, assembly, packing or storage).



This level 1 course is intended for
This City and guilds accredited course has been carefully written to ensure candidates cover all the necessary topics to provide them with an excellent basic course to ensure they handle food safely. The course is in 12 short sections, with full audio voice over to ensure clarity and understanding.
This level one awareness course follows industry standards and national occupational standards as set by Improve Ltd. This course is recommended for all workers in food manufacture who handle low risk foods.
The content of the course is in twelve sections:
About 1 hour, but the course can be taken at the speed of the user.
When the candidate is ready, there is a multi-choice test comprising 20 questions. The questions come from a question bank, enabling each candidate (if in an IT room) to have a different testing experience. Successful candidates must achieve 15 correct answers, which are marked instantly, electronically.
Successful candidates can then print their city and guilds accredited certificate from their own PC, a central PC, or print it from another PC of their choice. Candidate results are stored on the City and Guilds “walled garden” – their certificate.
